Swift action by firefighters saves GM Technology’s main facility from fire devastation

From the management of GM Technology, we would like to inform you about a fire incident that occurred on Tuesday, 10th October, in the building adjacent to our main headquarters in Dos Hermanas.

Although the fire had a partial impact on our facilities, we are grateful that there were no personal injuries.

First and foremost, we extend our deepest gratitude to the local fire brigades of Dos Hermanas, the Provincial Government of Seville, as well as the Dos Hermanas Local Police and the National Police.

Their rapid and effective response prevented the fire, which originated in the adjacent building, from spreading and causing severe damage to our main facility, potentially leading to its complete destruction.

Fortunately, the incident resulted only in material damage.

The fire broke out around 10 PM, at which time the 200 employees who work daily in our facilities were not present.

In terms of the damage, we are taking steps to relocate workstations and minimise the impact on the services we offer to our clients.

However, it is possible that some of the delivery timelines for some ongoing projects may be temporarily affected.

We appreciate the understanding and empathy consistently shown by our clients, collaborators, and team.

We also wish to express our gratitude to colleagues who worked through the night, assisting the fire brigades on-site to control the situation, enabling us to continue our daily operations.

Yours sincerely,

Manuel Muñoz
Managing Director, GM Technology
