GM Technology Official Warranty and Claims Policies Year 2023-2024
GENERAL CONDITIONS
A) All products returned by warranty must be prepared in the same original packaging.
B) In those cases where the guarantee proceeds, the logistical expenses generated between GM and its client, will be borne by GM Technology.
C) In those cases in which the guarantee does not apply, the logistical expenses generated between GM and its client will be borne by the client.
D) If incomplete or incorrect information is provided, warranty services will not proceed.
E) In the event of material replacement, the defective or erroneous product shall become the property of GM Technology.
F) Any of the warranties mentioned herein do not cover defects or failures arising as a result of:
- Improper use
- Incorrect or improper maintenance.
- Damages due to negligence or intentional damage.
- Insufficient ventilation or continued exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Error, malfunction or degradation as a result of an improper physical or operating environment. This may include damage from power surges or interruptions, including lightning, or damage caused by fire or water.
- Use of non-genuine consumables or trademarks identified herein.
- In the above cases, GM Technology reserves the right to invoice repair services to the customer.
G) This warranty does not cover:
- Periodic maintenance.
- Software or software components.
- Third-party products, such as consumables or spare parts.
H) The warranty is limited to branded products purchased by the customer directly from GM Technology from any territory in the world.
I) This warranty is a supplementary contract between GM Technology and the customer that does not affect its statutory rights under applicable national law.
NEW EQUIPMENT
1. The New Equipment, will benefit from the guarantee contemplated by the manufacturer of the product. New equipment is understood as all equipment that has been purchased in original manufacturer’s packaging, or a total original copy counter of less than 500 copies.
2. In EPS maintenance contracts, the equipment will follow the SLAs indicated in the specifications.
3. The repairs budgeted at the expense of our customers, will have a guarantee of six months.
4. In all cases, the guarantee will be applied after having received a complete report from the customer following the procedure marked by the Support department, where the problem is indicated, photographs are attached where necessary, invoice number indicated when applicable, as well as serial number.
5. There is the possibility of extending the warranty upon confirmation of the commercial team and manufacturer.
6. Warranty coverage and claims are detailed in Annex 1.
USED EQUIPMENT
1. All equipment sold under brands Eco Smart and Eco Select will be considered used.
2. Eco Smart equipment does not accept guarantees or claims under any circumstances.
3. Eco Select equipment only accepts limited warranty and claims for mechanical, electronic and electrical defects for a limited period of time.
4. The repairs budgeted at the expense of our customers will have a guarantee of six months.
5. There is no possibility to extend the warranty under any circumstances.

REMANUFACTURED EQUIPMENT
1. Remanufactured equipment will be considered all those sold under brands GreenLine, BlueLine and EcoGreen.
2. BlueLine equipment can only be purchased through EPS contracts, for which the claim periods and guarantees will be unique for each customer according to specifications or contracts.
3. Repairs budgeted at the expense of our customers, will have a guarantee of six months.
4. In all cases, the guarantee will be applied after having received a complete report from the customer following the procedure marked by the Support department, where the problem is indicated, a photograph is attached when required, invoice number is indicated when applicable, as well as the serial number.
5. The warranty is only applicable in the case in which the equipment has been purchased with an R-OEM or R-GEN toner cartridge/set, or failing that, uses OEM product, for which GM Technology reserves the right to request a purchase guarantee of such product. In GreenLine products, the warranty will apply in all cases.
6. In those cases in which the volume of copies made in GreenLine or EcoGreen equipment is greater than the volume of copies recommended for the model according to the manufacturer, the warranty coverage will be evaluated internally according to the affected components.
7. Regarding the storage periods of orders already prepared, only 1 month will be given after the products are finished so that the customer can pick them up or be delivered. If not, those prepared products will be sold or can be taken for other orders.
8. There is no possibility to extend the warranty under any circumstances.
9. Warranty coverage and claims are detailed in Annex 3.
GM TONERS
1. GM Toners will be considered all those sold under brands R-OEM and R-GEN.
2. Repairs budgeted at the expense of our customers will have a guarantee of six months.
3. In all cases, the guarantee will be applied after having received a complete report from the customer following the procedure marked by the Support department, where the problem is indicated, a photograph is attached when required, invoice number is indicated when applicable, as well as product reference and lot.
4. Regarding the storage periods of orders already prepared, only 1 month will be given after the products are finished so that the customer can pick them up or be delivered. If not, those prepared products will be sold or can be taken for other orders.
5. There is no possibility to extend the warranty under any circumstances.
6. Warranty coverage and claims are detailed in Annex 4.
M&M PRODUCTS
1. M&M PRODUCTS will be considered all those consumables except for Toner, included under the brand M&M Premium Products. These include drum units, developing units, imaging units, fuser units, and transfer belt units.
2. Repairs budgeted at the expense of our customers, will have a guarantee of six months.
3. In all cases, the guarantee will be applied after having received a complete report from the customer following the procedure marked by the Support department, where the problem is indicated, a photograph is attached when required, invoice number is indicated when applicable, as well as product reference and lot number.
